RPM Installation Notes

These notes are intended as a guide for installing Super Sparrow 0.0.0 on a VA-Enhanced 6.2.3 system. These notes should also work on a Red Hat 6.2 and other Red Hat 6.x based systems but these configurations are unsupported.

Super Sparrow comes with a number of packages. These should be installed using the following command in the directory that contains the Super Sparrow RPMS:

rpm -hUv \
  dents-0.4.0pre1.ss.2-1.i386.rpm \
  libsupersparrow-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  libsupersparrow-devel-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  supersparrow-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  supersparrow-doc-0.0.0-1.noarch.rpm \
  vanessa_adt-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  vanessa_adt-devel-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  vanessa_logger-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  vanessa_logger-devel-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  vanessa_logger-sample-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  vanessa_socket-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  vanessa_socket-devel-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm \
  vanessa_socket-pipe-0.0.0-1.i386.rpm

If you wish to run a GNU Zebra route server then run:

rpm -hUv zebra-0.89-1.ss.1.i386.rpm
If you wish to run a Gated route server then run:
gated-3.6-1.ss.2.i386.rpm
