Horms Solutions Ltd. is a boutique software engineering practice based in Tokyo and Kobe. The principal Simon Horman has more than ten years experience working with free and open source software, initially in operations and then as a developer.

Horms Solutions Ltd. offers software engineering services using the iterative open source software development life-cycle. This includes design, implementation, testing and integration. Horms Solutions Ltd. also offers advice on how organisations can use open source development techniques to improve their own internal development and integration processes.

LTSI ISM, San Francisco

Today Simon Horman of Horms Solutions participated int the LTSI ISM (Long Term Stable Industry, Industry Contact Meeting) in San Francisco. At the event guidelines were discussed for changes to LTSI in minor releases. Briefly they are as follows:

  • Bug fixes
  • New self-contained features
Other discussion included participants needs for support beyond two years, what seems to be referred to as Ultra Long Term Stable, an initiative yet to progress beyond discussion.
